Happy Birthday!

What a great weekend we had this past. Grace celebrated her 4th birthday. I cannot believe how fast they grow up. She of course, had to have a princess theme party! Grace had some friends, and we had family and neighbors.

Thank goodness the weather held out. It was supposed to rain all day, my prayers were answered, no rain!

In about two weeks school starts. She has one more year of preschool and then kindergarten! Hold on, too fast! Everyone needs to enjoy their kids while they can.

Busy/Lazy days?!

Well, we are into summertime and it is bittersweet. I am enjoying not having a schedule for Grace. No school/dance etc., but at the same time, I have to come up with new ideas constantly. Grace also mentioned how she misses her teachers. Oh, just wait 10 years, then it will be, "I can't wait for summer!"
Lately, we have been heading to the park, waterpark, dancing, and trying not to beat up little sis too much! We have enjoyed Grace's first dance recital. What a great show.

Tonight we perhaps reached a milestone of not needing naps. The last few nights have been difficult. Grace has been sleeping with us due to not being able to sleep. She even snuck down when Daddy was out of town without me knowing... :) She sure enjoys spending time with her Daddy. I will include some photos of her "mowing" with him. She wanted to do it just as he was...

We are looking forward to the fourth of July weekend. We will be meeting up with some of Patrick's family and of course our typical fireworks show for the whole subdivision!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!

Kids sure are something

So,I now know why we have kids. They help us see humor in everything. Also, not to take ANYTHING seriously! My Grace, answered my phone, (which she isn't supposed to do!) brought it into the bathroom where I was showering, an proceeded to tell the caller, "My mom is in the shower and she is naked." Talk about mortifying. I got on the phone and I was told I didn't need to leave the shower to take her call. I simply told her my daughter likes to make things up! Oh, Grace!

Here are a few pictures from my brother's wedding.

New/Old beginnings

So, my brother got married this last weekend. What a great event. Will post pictures soon. Got to catch up with family.
The big event was finally meeting my birth mom, Cindy, my half sister, Cheryl (Dennis) and her son. We only met for an hour, but what a monumental event. I wasn't nervous, but I could tell she was very anxious. It is hard to understand, but imagine carrying your child for 9 months, seeing her/him, and then never again. Wondering, is she ok?/happy?/being taken care of?
I can't even begin to understand. I didn't have that connection. I was just curious who I looked like, if we had any similar personality traits, etc. What a great meeting!
